As of January 2020, you can now find all three flavors of Hydration Multiplier, as well as Sleep Multiplier in every Whole Foods location across the country. Whole Foods was the first major retailer to take a chance on Liquid I.V. as a young brand. In the six years since, we’ve grown from one man handing out electrolyte drink samples at a store in El Segundo, to one of the nation’s preeminent wellness startups. None of this would be possible without the continued support of Whole Foods. Keep reading for a peek into our relationship with the natural grocery giant!
Back in 2014, Liquid I.V. launched at one Whole Foods store in El Segundo, California. Liquid I.V. was a small company in a relatively new market, so winning precious shelf space from one of the world’s most discerning retailers was an incredible honor. Founder & CEO Brandin Cohen spent his weekends demoing the product in-store, until eventually earning a spot in three Whole Foods locations in the South Bay area. Three stores quickly became twelve, which turned into all sixty Whole Foods in the SOPAC region!
This steady expansion cemented Liquid I.V. as a force to be reckoned with in the wellness industry. Whole Foods’ endorsement brought us the highest level of brand credibility, helping us to build the premium hydration category practically from the ground up. Soon, one retailer after another wanted in on our clean ingredients and effective formals. Today, over 35,000 stores across the country sell Liquid I.V.
Without Whole Foods, Liquid I.V. would not be what it is today. From the buyers who believed in our products to the store managers who place Liquid I.V. in prime shelf space, Whole Foods’ support helps us give people the products they want – while also giving back to those in need.
